Jeanne M. Gaudreau grew up in a family of horse trainers. Under the tutelage of her mother and grandfather, Jeanne began riding, competing and training at an early age. Jeanne founded JMG STABLES in 1978 after graduating from Meredith Manor Horsemanship School in Waverly West Virginia. She bred, trained and showed Arabian horses in the early years, with experience in many disciplines including: western pleasure, hunter pleasure, show hack, halter, trail, reining, hunters over fences, in-hand work and breaking to saddle, and was an Arabian "R" Judge for the United States Equestrian Federation.
She has won numerous awards at the national level, including a Reserve National Championship at Grand Prix. She won her USDF gold medal on her favorite horse, an Arabian gelding named Baha Bask, in 2006. She has instructed students who have placed in the North American Young Rider Championships, and All Breeds championships, including the 2013 All Breeds Junior Young Rider, and who have received their USDF Bronze and Silver Medals.
Jeanne was the founder of the University of Montana Equestrian Team and acted as head coach from its inception in 2000 until spring 2014. Under her leadership the University of Montana Equestrian Team took three Reserve Zone Hunt Seat Champion shows, seven Regional Hunt Seat Champion Titles and four Western Reserve Champion titles.
Jeanne continues to ride and show dressage, both with half-Arabians and warmbloods, and shares that love with her daughter, Stevie. Stevie has currently won two All-Breed Championships and one Reserve on her half Arabian gelding and her Quarter horse mare. Stevie is currently schooling Grand Prix dressage on warmblood gelding RI Maverick and schooling Surprise over fences. Jeanne is enjoying her young warmblood mare Bess, and her half Arab warmblood gelding Savion.
Stevie won the USDF ALL BREEDS JYR 3RD LEVEL PHR FOR 2014 AND WAS RESERVE FOR OPEN
Stevie competed in the NAJYRC in Kentucky in 2015,and the 2016 NAJYRC in Colorado and scored well on RI Maverick.
Both Stevie and Jeanne have completed the "L" dressage learner judges program. Stevie is schooling Mav in Grand Prix and Jeanne is continuing to ride and train her horses, teach at JMG and clinic at various barns in Mt.
